If I was selected as commencement speak I would talk about story of how the road to success is a treacherous one. It has many turns and fork in the roads which may lead you astray. It also has steep cliffs and ledges with no railings. If you are not careful you may to your demise. The raod only get more dangerous at time passes by. For this reason you must learn to perfect your skills in life early. I would tell them how high school in the time to perfect skills and not slack.

First chaptor of independent reading book
The book is so one chapter in has been very interesting and surprising. The first major thing that surprised be about the book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was about how the dog was actually implemented in the book. Its turns out that the dog was found dead which has been stabbed with a pitchfork. Another interesting thing that I noticed was that the narrator seems to behave like he has down syndrome. In the first chapter he talks about how he has never seen some certain types of common smiley faces.

Amir's Atonement
Based on what we have read so far, it can be said that Amir's sin was that he stood by and watched as Hassan got raped trying to defend the kite which would be the trophy of his victory in the kite fight. Everything he got as a result of the kite made him sick. He threw all of the gifts he received in a pile. He said that he got those gifts through "blood money". It can also be said that amir sinned when he he set up Hassan to get him thrown out and replaced. Hassan ended up confessing to the crime and leaving the house.
Amir has not yet been able to atone for the things he considers his sins and will probably not be able to unless he sees Hassan again.

When good people do nothing
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing"
This is a quote that I have learned to agree with over the years. History seen through history, this is been the case wherever there have been atrocities committed by man. The best known example is probably the persecution of hews and other minorities throughout Europe during the 1940s. It is said that this happened because the "good" people remained silent. We can also see this today. Many have called the taliban's acts evil throughout the years. Many times the Taliban sets in roots in a country when that country's people are silent. According to WMPR talk radio this was also the case in pakistan.

How we decide
Though there are many factors which affect why some one might decide to do something, I believe that the main factor is the consequence of the decision. Whether it is consciously or subconsciously people often weigh the pro and cons before making a decision. This means that the person will see whether or not or not the opportunity they may gain is worth the sacrifice. A good example of this can be seen of just by watching channels such as C-span. You will notice that the members of the congress point out every pro and con before making a decision. A less obvious example can be seen when you decide whether or not to get out of bed in the morning. You weigh the pros and cons and realize that the sacrifice of sleeping in and skipping work and possibly getting fired. is not worth the opportunity you could gain. Some decisions I have made recently were: whether or not I should apply for a certain dorm at my college; Whether I should watch this show or study for this test.

Ingrediants to making
Start with a farming community which is based in a mountainous, landlocked country. Give the land some gold, copper, silver, zinc, and Uranium. Next add some invasion by conquerers such as Alexander the Great, the Seleucids, the Indo-Greeks, Turks, and Mongols. See to it that the land is devastated by Genghis Kahn. After that sprinkle in some bombings from western powers such as the Soviet Union and the United States. Make sure that you do that this occures exactly 1950 years after BC.

Spring Break
One of the things I did this break was to be creative and working on hobbies of mine. One such hobbie I did was to make beats from old Rnb records. I made several beats out of these which I which I then posted on my new myspace which I also made on the same weekend. I worked on Also on easter we had a large family dinner at my house after going to church. Other than that I hung out with friends and family.

A title not so fit for a book
After reading the book Angela's Ashes I feel that the title "Angela's Ashes" failed to symbolized any of the deeper meaning which can be taken from the book. Upon first reading the title I had thought that the book would be about how Franks mother pases away and how he struggles to deal with it. However, the title merely refers to the ashes that Angela leaves behind after smoking her cigarettes. One could infer that these ashes represent the deteriorating state of her family status. As the cigarette burns out so do the last hopes that she and her family will be able to pullout of their situation.

Do Now
Write tens lines about why Che's experience in Peru might of significantly effected his views.

The essential question of the year goes been who do I want to become and what impact did i want to have on the world. Che Guevara had similar questions to answer in his youth. As noted in the book Motor Cycle Diaries I believe that Che wanted to become some sort heroic figure in which he would try and save the people who he had seen struggling in the Americas. This was first clear when Che traveled Chile and he witnessed the people who were suffering while working in the sulfur and copper mines. This was also evident when he traveled to the island where he helped lepers.

My Personal Ideas
I do not feel that I have truly figured out what my personal ideals are. Most of what I do is based on my subconscious thoughts. Many of those thoughts have been embedded in me by my parents. However I have come to believe that it is best to treat others the way you would want to be treated and expect from others what you would expect from yourself. This ensures that people treat each other with at least the same amount of respect that they have for themselves and people are treated on an equal level. Also this way one's natural selfish tendancies may be turned into something positive.

Is the US Operating like Che Guevara?
Although there are major similarities such as the fact that troops are being trained, I believe that is is not really fair to compare the two. In Bolivia, while training the troops, Che was trying fighting offensively for his cause by trying to instigate coups which would take down governments. The articles explains the presence of the CIA in Pakistan as one which is necessary to prevent attacks being prepared by Taliban and Queda groups. Che as acting offensively while the US in now acting defensively. A better comparison to make might be how how the US acted during the cold war in Bolivia and how they operate now based on their interests.

It has been my strong belief that Fidel Castro had worked with the CIA to bring Che Guevara to his demise. The documentary also hinted at this several times. The first when when the interviewees talked about how Che and Fidel were having issues when Che gave his speech in Algeria. Fidel was probably thinking that Che would probably destroy everything that he created. Che also seems to think this as he talks about the reasons for him going to Bolivia. Being the calculating person he is, Fidel probably worked out a deal with the CIA to send him to Bolivia.

Che's Utopia
Judging by the information from the Che documentary, Che wishes to truly embody the ideology of socialism. This made clear when the documentary brings up the speech that Che gave in Algeria about how western civilizations, subtly including the Soviet Union, have been corrupting the world. He claims that countries like the Soviet Union have been using communism as a business to make a profit. Che is further shown to be the embodiment of socialism in video clips of him farming and doing manual labor. He is socialist to the point that he wants countries that are doing well to help countries that are doing poorly.

A documentary about david blain
If I were given a chance to make a documentary, I would make my documentary about David Blaine. Over the years many people upon watching one of his magic shows, have wondered how David Blaine has gotten to where he is today. The documentary would go through all the parts of David Blaine's life in an attempt to explain how David Blaine became a mastermind of magic. This is relevant to todays

If I Were the Director of a Che Documentary
If I were to make a documentary about Che based on what I already know I would would start it with Che when he set out with Alberto Grenada to travel across Central and South America. It was from this trip that Che seemingly took up many of his views and ideals which would later be acted upon is his later years. I would also include his second trip in which he witnessed the overthrowing up the president in Guatemala and became radicalized. I would also include his trips to the Soviet Union and Africa. Lastly I would include his trip to Bolivia where he was captured and then killed.

Glen Beck's interpretaion of Che
I feel inclined to disagree with Beck. Although I have not truly studied Che’s history, I feel that Beck’s interpretation of him that was given on the cnn show was most likely extremely biased. One reason for this would be that Che’s ideas were based on socialist and communist ideals. Also they only talk about Che’s war atrocities while eliminating his reasons for doing what he did. Although Che may have been a terrible person, I feel that it is a bit extreme to be relating him to Hitler.
After watching numerous shows with Beck on CNN I have grown to dislike Becks voice and speaking mannerisms. He gets his points across by speaking as if he is a lawyer and almost as if he speaking to children. Another thing that Beck does is to speak is if he is absolutely correct using facts and people to support his thoughts. He also uses a lot of metaphoric expressions to get his points across.
